Which is better for your job - LOVA 8 or LOVA 16?
The LOVA 8 has a Gast-style air motor with 5 horsepower of energy available to spin the feed bowl.
The LOVA 16 has a Gast-style air motor with 9 horsepower of energy available to spin the feed bowl.
The theoretical "Maximum Output" is the same for the LOVA 8 as it is for the LOVA 16 for each configuration.
This is because the LOVA 8 and LOVA 16 both use the same gearbox.
The gearbox limits the bowl's R.P.M.'s - and therefore output.
The extra 4 horsepower of the 16AM is necessary when:
1 - The material contains aggregate larger than 3/8" or any kind of fiber. The extra 4 hp of the 16 helps the bowl power through the material so it doesn't jam up.
2 - Conveying material in excess of 300 feet. The pad must be clamped against the feed bowl very tightly to get the seal necessary to convey material long distances. This slows the bowl's rotation. The extra 4 hp of the 16 allows you to achieve high R.P.M.'s and a very tight seal simultaneously.
